Tailoring therapy to the client in a Humanistic, Person Centred way

Choosing therapeutic support that is right for you

Known as Blossie, I am a person centred counsellor and therapist, employing an integrative therapeutic approach in order to tailor the therapy to my clients wherever possible.  A comfortable, understanding relationship with your therapist is critical to whether you will experience a beneficial outcome.

I offer a supportive, empathic relationship that helps people to make sense of difficulties they are experiencing and feel differently as a result.

My therapeutic approach is relational, humanistic one, creating a safe enough space that can help a person feel able to address how they would like things to change or to come to terms with how things are.

I work collaboratively with my clients drawing from a range of approaches & neuroscience to offer a pluralistic way of working that suits you.  This includes regular reviews to ensure that you feel you are being helped, getting value for money and how long and frequently you wish to attend.

Integrative styles of working include:

  • Employing visual aids, creative materials & therapeutic tools
  • Psycho-education on neuroscience of threat & anxiety
  • Using a trauma informed approach utilizing somatic exercises to aid clients experiencing overwhelm

Helping Couples . . .

It can be overwhelmingly difficult to know where to start when we feel at a loss as to how to make changes in our relationship. It is not always easy for both parties to engage in addressing the relationship if one or other has lost hope that things can change.

It is important that each partner feels heard and understood and helped to identify what has become difficult for them in their relationship, before beginning to look at how things can be different.

My empathic, relationship centred approach has helped couples commit to a process of addressing stuck patterns of relating to improve or fundamentally change how we are in relationship with another.
